This site runs a free estimator for home-service contractors. This page explains exactly what it collects, what it does with it, and how to get it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Lead Credit Check is an independent service operated from the United States. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Angi Inc., HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack, or any lead platform. Contact: ed@leadcreditcheck.com.
The estimator asks four questions and stores your answers only if you go on to request the emailed report:
If you do not submit the form, these answers stay in your browser and never reach us.
Your email address, and — if you choose to fill them in — your first name and company name. Name and company are optional; the report works without them.
If you arrived from an ad or a link with tracking parameters, we record those parameters (commonly utm_source, utm_campaign and utm_term) alongside your submission, so we know which ad brought you here. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or trade it. We do not share it with Angi. It is handled by a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf:
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the site against fraud or abuse.
We run ads, so this site loads measurement tags from Google and Meta. They set cookies and report back that someone completed the estimator or requested a report, which is how we tell a working ad from a wasted one. They do not receive your estimator answers.
You can opt out of Google's advertising cookies at adssettings.google.com, and adjust Meta's ad settings inside your Facebook or Instagram account. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies outright, and this site works fine if you do. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends one.
Submissions are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Server logs roll off far sooner. If you ask us to delete your information before then, we will.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Email ed@leadcreditcheck.com and we will action it within 30 days. We will not charge you for it and we will not make the site worse for you because you asked.
If you are in California, the CCPA as amended gives you these rights explicitly, along with the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under that law.
The site is served over HTTPS and credentials for our providers are held as encrypted secrets. No small site can promise perfect security, and we are not going to. What we can say is that we deliberately collect very little, and none of it is the kind of data that hurts you if it leaks.
This is a tool for contractors running a business. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how we use information already collected will be emailed to anyone affected.
